On April 10, 2025, the Beijing Cyberspace Administration Office announced that 23 new generative AI services have been added to the registry, bringing the total number of registered generative AI services in Beijing to 128. The "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" provides a strong guarantee for the standardized development of these services. To enhance transparency, generative AI applications or functions that are already online must clearly indicate, in a prominent location or on the product details page, the registered generative AI services used, specifying the model name.

On April 8th, the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration (CAC) announced the registration status of generative artificial intelligence services as of March 31, 2025. Following the requirements of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), relevant departments jointly promoted the registration of generative AI services to foster innovation and regulated application in this field. By the end of Q1 2025, a total of 346 generative AI services had completed registration with the CAC. Additionally, generative AI applications and functionalities that directly utilize the capabilities of already registered models through APIs or other methods are included.
